T racy McGrady, the 31-year-old two-time NBA scoring champ, is spending the day in Chicago today, where he will take a physical for the Chicago Bulls and try to "convince the team he is willing to accept a bench role," according to ESPN. The site has it that Derrick Rose (notes) has told the team that he’s into the idea of bringing in McGrady, who got himself traded from the Houston Rockets last season to the New York Knicks , where he averaged 3.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 9.4 points in the 26.1 minutes per game he averaged in the 24 games he appeared in.
