Bulls Coach Thibodeau Has Knee Surgery

By SportsDirect Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau had surgery to partially replace his right knee earlier this month, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday. According to the report, Thibodeau had the procedure July 13 in order to alleviate an arthritic condition that has bothered him for 30 years. Thibodeau is coming off his first season as a head coach in which he guided the Chicago Bulls to a 61-21 record and a trip to the Eastern Conference finals, winning Coach of the Year honors.

According to a statement from the team released on FIBA’s website, while its doctors were performing routine physicals last week, the ankle injury showed that it was serious enough to warrant sending the medical reports to Noah’s agent.
